The Blue Mood fuzz. Featuring a circuit based on my favorite iteration of the Tone Bender MkII circuit: the Marshall Supafuzz. Out of the various people who plugged into Superfuzzes my favorite is Justin Hayward from The Moody Blues. Hayward used a Marshall reverb/fuzz unit to achieve his soaring sputtering psychedelic tone. Other Marshall Superfuzz users include Jimi Hendrix, Pete Townsend, Jeff Beck, and Ron Asheton of The Stooges. This modern update features a blend of silicon and germanium. Additions include a decay knob. This controls the bias and lets you fine tune the length of sustain and sputter. The bottom control lets you blend a bass heavy high output version of the fuzz with the original treble forward tone. Charge pump circuitry provides the proper ground reference for the germanium transistors letting you use modern power supplies.
